Hello. Again.
Yes. The writer for this blog still exist. I had been missing in action for I was caught up with my finals. Now, I am as free as a bird!
So, there were a few things which happened to me recently. First things first, I am now, ENGAGED!
That's my fiance.
Anyways, the dress.
I am absolutely crazy about the dress. It's simple. My mom had custom made the design and all. On the dress, there are beadings on it to make it stand out. I love the whole color combination along with the scarf. Honestly, when my mum designed it only with the tailor, I was kind off pissed off because I wanted to be part of it. Considering I was in KL that time for my final project, I had to let her do it on my behalf. Bt, I was not surprised with the outcome of the dress, truly the way I imagined it to be.
The ring.
The diamond ring is simple yet sweet personally for me. That is the reason I chose it.
Actually, this event is called 'merisik/bertekol' whereby it is like a reservation kind of reception to acknowledge that the girl is reserved by this particular guy. For this event, the man's family has to visit the woman' s side and get to know each other better. Then, slip on the ring and just mingle among each other. Basically, families bonding together for this particular couple.
However, my mum had decided to splurge on this. That is why I sent out gifts as the my fiance gave me 7 trays of gifts. The girl's side has to reply more and it has to be in odd numbers, thus, my side gave the man's side, 9 trays.
The blue trays are from the man's side while the silver one is from ours.
It was a wonderful event. Alhamdulillah. The whole family of the guy's side came and the people were amazing.
